Actors Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre opened
the new Off-Broadway musical revue The Water Coolers on
Friday, July 9. Hosted by Chairman of the Board Lawrence
E. Stein and Executive Producing Director Barbara S. Stein,
the musical was sponsored by Atlantis Paradise Island,
Bahamas, A1A Ideal Business Machines, A Willets-ONeil
Company, Martinair, Cultural Affairs of Miami-Dade County,
and Univision Radio. Bacardi USA, Inc. and LaEstanciaArgentina
hosted the Gala reception for 300 guests.
Accompanying the musicals opening was Cooler
Colours, an exhibit by local artist Hans Feyerabend.
The collection of paintings will remain on view throughout
the run of the show and is for sale. Other special guests
at the opening included the conceiver of The Water Coolers,
Thomas Michael Allen and his wife Sally, Michael Sag of
Richard Frankel Productions of New York, City of Coral
Gables Vice Mayor Ralph Cabrera, Jr., City of Miami Beach
Commissioner Matti Herrera-Bowen, Miami-Dade County Commissioner
Sally Heyman, Former Mayor of Coral Gables Dorothy Thomson
and her husband Jack, School Board Member Dr. Michael
Krop and wife Dr. Lois Krop, School Board Member Dr. Marta
Perez and Chris Wolfe, Don Foley of Martinair, and Sio
Lindner of Bacardi USA, Inc.
Tickets for Actors Playhouse at the Miracle Theatres
production of The Water Coolers are on sale now through
September 5. Tickets are $35 for Wednesday and Thursday
performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., and $40 for
Friday and Saturday 8 p.m. performances. The theatre offers
a 10 percent senior discount the day of performance and
$10 student rush tickets 15 minutes prior to curtain,
with all discounts based on availability and excluding
all Saturday performances and Sunday matinees. Group rates
are available for 15 or more.

Actors Playhouse recently announced a blockbuster
2004-05 seven show season, including the nationally-noted,
interactive comedy Shear Madness in October, followed
by rare regional productions of Disneys Beauty and
the Beast, Elton Johns and Tim Rices AIDA,
Jason Robert Browns Songs for a New World, and Alan
Ayckbourns new and innovative interlocking House
and Garden plays. The summer 2005 production will be the
Carbonell Award winning musical comedy The Big Bang, returning
by popular demand. Next season will mark Actors
Playhouses 10th anniversary in the historic Miracle
Theatre.
Season subscriptions for the 10th anniversary season are
on sale now, with prices ranging from $157 for preview
nights, $229 for Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday
matinees, $273 for Friday and Saturday evenings, and $290
for VIP Flexible/Anytime tickets for best seats in any
performance. Opening night tickets, including a gala dinner
party, are $430. Special 10th anniversary any 4 show flexible
mini-subscriptions are $170. Student subscriptions for
students 16 years and younger with a full adult subscription
are $110. As an added bonus, new subscribers will receive
$20 off any ticket purchase for The Water Coolers.
